Getting here

Off the road, under Bowman's Hill.

We sit at 1600 River Road, New Hope, at the corner where Lurgan Road turns up toward Bowman's Hill Tower. Coming from New Hope the road climbs a gradual hill through the woods and then opens out — the tavern is on your left, across from the stone marker at the turn. From the south the rise is gentler and the sign is in plain view on your right.

There is complimentary valet at the door and a lot on the property. On a busy night it fills early, so an unhurried arrival is the kindest one.

By car

River Road (Route 32), a few minutes south of New Hope, at the Lurgan Road corner. Valet and a lot on the property.

On foot

The canal towpath runs through the trees alongside the road, and the last stretch to the door is along River Road.

Do I need a reservation?
A table is best reserved ahead on OpenTable — instant confirmation, no note needed. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar when there's room, especially on quieter evenings.
Is there live music?
Most evenings someone is at the piano. To see who's playing on a given night, the schedule keeps the calendar.
What's on the menu?
A seasonal kitchen, with a separate bar book for the hours at the piano. The menu changes with the line, so the board may differ a little from the page.
Do you host private events?
For private events and larger parties, send a note from the contact page and we'll talk through the evening.
Do you sell gift cards?
